6 Tips For Expanding Your Reach On Twitch

6 Tips For Expanding Your Reach On Twitch

6 Tips For Expanding Your Reach On Twitch 1. Twitch should be treated like a hobby at first, do it because you love to do it. Don’t go out and buy a bunch of expensive equipment for your broadcasts if you’re not sure if you’ll stick with it. You can get a pair of Sony Headphones, but you’ll have to figure out how much you want to spend when it comes to a camera. As far as mics are concerned, I use the MXL 990 Condenser Mic with Blue Microphones Icicle Converter and a standard pop filter. 2. Be consistent. You won’t become the next “TheSyndicateProject” overnight. Rome wasn’t built in a day either, so if you want to build an empire you’re going to have to focus. Start by playing weekly, if not daily. The more often you’re on, the better chance your channel has to be viewed. 3. Have a go to game, series, or genre that you love to play and never get tired of. There are plenty of areas in gaming to focus on from the obvious genres like RTS and FPS, to Co Op and Retro Gaming. Do this and you will build a following that is interested in the same type of games you enjoy playing instead of every new game that comes out. 4. Don’t get me wrong, new games can be great to stream sometimes too, but you have to understand that the people who rank higher on twitch will be listed before you if they are streaming the same new game that, let’s say 500 other Twitchers are also broadcasting. So until...

Christmas 2014 Game Console Sales Predictions

Christmas 2014 Game Console Sales Predictions

My Prediction For the Best Selling Game Console This Holiday Season It’s almost Thanksgiving which means the holiday season has officially kicked off. With Black Friday right around the corner and the December holidays close behind, I find myself wondering which gaming console will sell best this holiday season. This list excludes portable gaming devices, sorry. Check out our predictions for 2014 Christmas holiday game console sales. PS4: The obvious choice for most, PS4 has been topping the charts this console generation. Projected to sell 17 million units by the end of the year, compared to Xbox One’s projected 11 million, Sony is in a very good position this holiday season. With games like Little Big Planet 3, GTA V, and The Last of Us Remastered already released, and games like The Order: 1886 and Dying Light on the horizon in January and February, I believe Sony could be second if not first this holiday season. Xbox One: The Xbox One has been trailing behind Sony’s PS4 ever since the console launched last year. Microsoft already dropped the price $50 by offering the console without the Kinect device earlier this year. With this holiday season Microsoft has temporarily lowered the price an additional $50 bringing the price to $350. These $350 bundles are coming with games like Sunset Overdrive and Assassins Creed: Unity (which comes bundled with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag as well), or you can pay $449 and get double the storage space and a custom Call of Duty Advanced Warfare console, controller, and game download. With Sunset Overdrive being an exclusive for Xbox One, and the console...
3 Cool Scenes From Assassin’s Creed: Unity

3 Cool Scenes From Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Assassin’s Creed: Unity was released on Nov. 11 with a few minor bugs and issues, but the good more than outweighs the bad. Here are three cool scenes from my short time playing.   Master of Disguise:   How cool was that? I didn’t even have to kill anybody. I know it was a little unrealistic just morphing into a different disguise, but I thoroughly enjoy the skill, and it even works on your teammates when they are within range. The disguise lasts until you run, climb, attack, or get detected.   Pantheon:   This is the intro to one of the many co op missions scattered throughout the map. The map is huge and I’ve played over ten co op missions so far, and there still seem to be plenty more.   Smooth Assassinations: This one is just a couple swift kills, 4 totally stealth assassinations in less than 30 seconds. Damn it feels good to be a...
5 Upcoming Survival Horror Video Games You Won’t Want To Miss

5 Upcoming Survival Horror Video Games You Won’t Want To Miss

5 Upcoming Survival Horror Games You Won’t Want To Miss Note: This list is in no particular order. Just 5 terrifying looking games for you to enjoy. 1. The Order: 1886 (PS4) Release Date: February 20, 2015 The Order: 1886 takes place in an alternated history London where man has merged with beast, creating a weird werewolf-like hybrid. You play as an order of old knights that found a mystic Black Water allowing them to live much longer than normal humans and accelerates the rate at which their bodies heal. The graphics of The Order are visually striking, and I want very much to believe that the E3 trailer is what the final game will look like. I probably need to buy a PS4 before February rolls around for this amazing looking game. 2. Dying Light (PS3/ Xbox 360/ PS4/ Xbox One/ PC) Release Date: January 27, 2015 In Dying Light up to four players can run around a zombie infested open world in an urban setting surviving the zombie apocalypse. Think Dead Island if it weren’t on an island. The game will be mostly melee based combat similar to Dead Island. However unlike Dead Island, Dying light features a little bit of free running techniques as well as a dynamic day and night cycle. I know alot of people are getting tired of zombies, but they are my favorite movie/game monster so to all the naysayers, eat your hearts out. The games developer, Techland, has stated the game will have over 50 hours of gameplay. I realize that everyone plays at their own pace, but I’m just hoping...
Top 10 Scariest Video Games to Play for Halloween 2014

Top 10 Scariest Video Games to Play for Halloween 2014

So it’s that time of year again, and if you’re like me, you love a good scare now and again. With October comes some great things including Pumpkin Spice coffee (Basic Bitches love these), pumpkin ales and most importantly Halloween. I don’t know about you, but I don’t need an excuse to dress up in a costume and paint the town red, Halloween just helps me blend in with you regular folk when I walk down the street on October 31. That was me last Christmas… I got socks and underwear for the third year in a row. But if you don’t make horrible body art decisions like me that’s okay, I’m sure there are other things out there that peak our combined interests, such as playing some of the most frightening video games there are, and sleeping with the light on for the rest of the month. Here’s a list of 10 of the scariest video games you can play on the nights leading up to and the very night of All Hallows’ Eve itself, if you’re not too scared that is. 10. Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube/ PS2/ Windows PC/ Wii/ mobile/ iOS/ Zeebo/ Xbox 360/ PS3) There are few games that can come close to Resident Evil 4 (well at least 9 that I can think of eh?) when it was in its prime, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for this game and what it did to revitalize the Resident Evil franchise (Even if the games are going in a less scary more action focused direction these days.) You play as Leon...
