Forza Motorsport 7 Releasing Reminds Me.. I Need a New Car

Cars and Video Games. Chances are if you like both of those things, then you already know that the seventh installment in the Forza Motorsport series of video games is due to release October 3rd. The brand split into two separate styles of game, one for more casual arcade racing fans called Forza Horizons, and Forza Motorsports for the die hard racing simulator fans. I personally fall in the former category, as I just want to smash the gas and burn some rubber. Realism be damned. With that being said, I’ll still take Forza Motorsports 7 for a test drive early next month. But every time a cool racing game comes out it always reminds me of one thing sooner or later; I need a new automobile. I don’t need anything to special and it doesn’t have to be brand spanking new, just new to me. I’m really leaning the truck route which is a far cry from the Forza series, but let’s face it I left the wallet with money for the Lamborghini in my other jacket. All jokes aside I probably will be taking the plunge and buying something sooner rather than later. Whether or not that will be before Forza Motorsports 7 releases, only time will tell (probably not though, lol).   UPDATE: So I ended up just going down to a local used dealer (Fort Worth) and got hooked up with a sweet 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. Thanks to the guys over at Next Drive Auto for hooking it up. I’m gonna get it dirty tonight, but that’s what hoses are...
Trials Fusion is Free this Month on Xbox One!

Trials Fusion is Free this Month on Xbox One!

The Games with Gold list for August has been unveiled, and finally after roughly three long years of waiting and being frugal (or cheap if you believe certain people) We’re getting our hands on Trials Fusion for $FREE.99! Trials Fusion is the third installment in the successful Trials franchise. Apparently Developer RedLynx kicked things off with the first game in the series as a browser-based game back in 2000 called, you guessed it, Trials. That’s all well and good, but my first experience with the long established franchise was with Trials HD, releasing all the way back 2009 on the Xbox 360. Since then, they’ve released two more Trials games, that last being Trials Fusion. If you’ve ever fancied yourself a motocross superstar or a skilled trick technician this is the game for you. Be warned, it’s highly addictive trying to beat your friends in multiplayer or just trying to beat their fastest time your favorite track. That being said, it can also be highly frustrating. I’ve lost more than a few good controllers to Trials HD back in the day, and I’m sure that when Trials Fusion goes free on August 16th, I’ll lose a few more. But, with a name like Trials, tribulation kind of comes with the territory. It’s been a minute since I’ve played a Trials game, and the last time I did, I went and bought a used motorcycle from a local shop in Dallas called Freedom...
Rise of Zurvivors – Upcoming Survival Horror Game

Rise of Zurvivors – Upcoming Survival Horror Game

Rise of Zurvivors is an upcoming first or third-person survival horror game that puts an emphasis on cooperative gameplay with a kickstarter campaign that will be launching soon. Rise of Zurvivors will be an open-world game with a huge map that allows players to shape their own story. Throughout the game players will be able to scavenge the environment for items such as weapons and food in order to survive. Taking things one step further, Rise of Zurvivors will incorporate a crafting system in which you can create weapons, tools, shelters, recipes and more in order to ensure your survival in this unforgiving post-apocalyptic world. Zurvivors plans to implement an interesting system in which players will be able to measure their sanity, pain, fear, temperature, thirst and hunger. You’ll need to keep track of these different meters in order to stay in tip top shape and stay alive for a little while longer. In Rise of Zurvivors, if you get hurt you’ll begin to bleed, and if you bleed enough you will become weak from blood loss, making you an easy target for zombies. If you end up getting bitten, you’ll be infected by the virus, which will make you hunger meter decrease and your character angry and violent. In this brave new world, everything will try to kill you, so make sure to have your zombie survival guide handy in order to survive what the world has become in Rise of Zurvivors. Check out the video below to get prepared for the...
Minecraft Can Get Kids Interested in Engineering

Minecraft Can Get Kids Interested in Engineering

Minecraft is basically the video game equivalent of the popular building block brand Legos, as anyone who is old enough to have played with them can tell you. Now that gaming is becoming more popular, Minecraft can be a great way to get kids interested in engineering. You can build pretty much anything you can think of. You’re only limited by your imagination, unlike legos which you have a limited supply of. Once you dig a little deeper (sorry for the pun) into Minecraft, you start to notice all the other things you can do besides just building. Underneath the surface of the game lies a world filled with switches, rail systems, pistons, gears and forges for players to tinker around with. Players could start building a simple shelter out of the side of a cliff, but eventually everyone wants to upgrade to something bigger and better. One thing you could do is set up an automatic door that opens via a pressure plate. Once you’ve established a better dwelling, it would probably be a good idea to build a forge so you can craft weapons to defend your new home. It may seem a little daunting, but after 15 minutes you’ll fall in love with Minecraft. It’s really just a game about building various items, but that’s what engineering is after all. Video games are awesome, but so are vacations. Sometimes you want to go relax in a tropical paradise like Cancun, Mexico, but you’d like to play some games during the downtime that happens on vacations. Well you’re in luck, because we’ve compiled a list of five ways to keep you gaming on vacation. MOGA Pro Power Controller for Android If you are a loyal Android user and you play a lot of games on your smartphone, then you have to get your hands on the MOGA Pro Power controller for Android devices. The thing i love about this accessory is that it’s shaped similarly to the very popular Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers. With your typical A, B, X, Y button mapping, shoulder buttons, triggers, analog sticks and a directional pad, you’ve never had more control of mobile gaming.   Mad Catz C.T.R.L. i for iOS The Mad Catz C.T.R.L. i is a controller designed for mobile game on Apple devices, and it’s not too different from the MOGA Pro Power. The C.T.R.L. i is designed to look and feel just like an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller, so it really feels right at home in your hands. The Mad Catz controller comes with a high gloss finish, compared to the matte finish on the MOGA Pro Power. Really it just comes down to Apple or Android, so if you have a newer iOS device, pick up this controller. You won’t be disappointed.   Nintendo 3DS XL Ah yes, the 3DS, how the gaming masses love you. It’s no secret that Nintendo’s handheld consoles have been doing much...
Getting Our MMO on in MassiveCraft

Getting Our MMO on in MassiveCraft

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the better part of a decade, then you’ve probably heard of a little game called Minecraft. If you have been living under a rock I apologize, and I have nothing but love for rock dwellers. Minecraft is a procedurally generated game about building, fighting and exploring, either with friends, or all by your lonesome. It’s a game that is loved by millions of gamers worldwide, and is available on multiple platforms ranging from PC and Xbox to iOS and Android powered devices. Instead of spending anymore time talking about a game that I’m sure you already knew about, I’m going to talk about MassiveCraft. What’s that? You’ve never heard of MassiveCraft you say? Well then sit down and buckle up, because MassiveCraft is a force to be reckoned with. MassiveCraft is technically a just a PVP and roleplaying server for Minecraft on the surface, but it really feels like its very own game that just borrowed the graphics and sprites from Minecraft. For starters MassiveCraft, unlike Minecraft, features it’s very own storyline that is constantly evolving based on the in game decisions of the characters of the world. Another really cool feature of MassiveCraft is the ability to tame animals, like the wolf in Minecraft, as well as monsters such as zombies and skeletons thanks to the Massive Mobs update. So what do you say? Will you leave behind the vanilla blandness of regular Minecraft, and instead reach for the awesomely immersive roleplaying experience that is MassiveCraft?...
Family Friendly Platform Game Jack Kudos Kickstarter Campaign

Family Friendly Platform Game Jack Kudos Kickstarter Campaign

Jack Kudos is an upcoming family friendly platform game that is currently looking for crowdfunding on Kickstarter. It looks like a cool little game that could help train healthier eating habits in children because the game is all about a hippo who loves fruit. When gamers play as a character who chooses fruit, that may just rub off on the choices they make in everyday life. Jack Kudos is being designed with everyone in mind, so you don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to enjoy it. Jack Kudos is a game that’s fun for all ages without having to resort to the violence or crudeness of most video games on the market these days. In Jack Kudos players take control of Jack Bondswell, a hippopotamus that loves fruit. He especially loves strawberries, and every time Jack collects one he earns a Kudo. Hence the name Jack Kudos. Throughout the game Jack chases a pesky rhino beetle that has snatched up all of Jack’s delicious fruit. Jack’s motivation is just like Donkey Kong’s, just swap the bananas for all types of fruit and kudos, and the Nintendo gorilla for an indie hippo. The Jack Kudos kickstarter goal has been set at $35,000 and they currently only have 13 days left on before their campaign runs out of time. By clicking here you can head over to the Jack Kudos Kickstarter page and help make this game become a reality by donating to the developers. Every little bit counts, so please help however you can. Activision Announces Revival of Acclaimed Franchise King’s Quest

The King’s Quest series is known as being one of the best and most interesting adventure games of all times, since it brings a stunning story as well as a very immersive gameplay that everyone enjoys. The series is comprised out of 8 titles, and recently Activision has announced that they are planning to release a reboot for the series. Named King’s Quest, this ninth entry in the series is set to provide some interesting new additions such as an extraordinary story and the removal of point and click elements, which is a first in the whole King’s Quest series. The story in this upcoming King’s Quest reboot spans around King Graham, who shares some long lost adventures from his youth with his granddaughter named Gwendolyn. The game isn’t supposed to be a prequel, instead it’s more of a rewind story, a tale from days long gone. At the beginning of the game, Graham will enter an old well in order to find a dragon, and there he finds a magic mirror. From this point onward, the game changes drastically as it starts focusing on the powers that Graham receives, while also allowing you to meet new characters, thus enriching the King’s Quest lore. This isn’t the first time when a company tries to create the ninth King’s Quest game, in fact since 1998 onward numerous attempts have been made in order to create a proper sequel for the fabled franchise. The integration of platforming elements, flying dragons that you can fight with as well as traps shows that the game will be more of a 3D adventure...
